"Dead Man" is the best American Western made in 50 years.  It’s one of the best films of the 90’s and boasts Johnny Depp’s best performance ever.  In fact, its probably one of the greatest American movies ever made.  A simple story, beautifully shot and tied together through Jim Jarmusch’s impeccable direction and a mystical score by Neil Young.

Few films about spirituality successfully take their audience on a spiritual journey themselves.  That says quite a lot about the filmmaking.

If you haven’t seen it, I cannot more highly recommend it.

Strange, mysterious, and yet totally captivating, it’s a must-see masterpiece.

This was an hypnotic experience.  Truly a kind of cinema I’ve never experienced before.  Just mesmerizing.
Johnny Depp was fantastic in this “western” (if you even wanna call it that, I would just say it’s a spiritual drama set in the old west) by Jim Jarmusch who’s direction was just astounding. Its amazing how a film can do so much with so little.  It’s minimalist without being boring.
This was the vision of a true artist.

It is preferable not to travel with a dead man.
